ZyCloud Cookie Policy

Effective: 2026-05-08

We use a small number of cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The list below is the entire list.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a tiny file your browser stores. It lets us remember things between requests — for example, that you are signed in.

What we use cookies for

NamePurposeScopeDurationStrictly necessary?
zycloud_sessionsign-in sessioncloud.zyqual.comsessionyes
zycloud_csrfCSRF protectioncloud.zyqual.comsessionyes
zycloud_remember"stay signed in"cloud.zyqual.com30 daysyes (if you opted in)
zycloud_localeUI language preferencecloud.zyqual.com1 yearno — preference only

That's it. We do not set any third-party cookies on the marketing site or the app.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Analytics for traffic measurement on the marketing site. Cloudflare Analytics is privacy-respecting and does not set cookies on your browser.

For product analytics inside the app (signup → upload → share funnels) we use a self-hosted PostHog instance. PostHog does set a session cookie scoped to cloud.zyqual.com only — posthog-distinct-id. You can opt out from account settings and the cookie will be cleared on your next sign-in.

Marketing trackers

None. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, or any similar third-party script.

Local storage

We use browser local storage (which isn't a cookie, but functionally similar) for:

  • Your in-progress upload queue, so a tab refresh doesn't lose work.
  • Your last-opened folder, so we land you back where you were.
  • Your selected theme.

These are scoped to cloud.zyqual.com. Clearing your browser storage clears them.

How to refuse or remove cookies

You can refuse cookies in your browser settings. If you refuse zycloud_session you cannot use the app — that's the cookie that keeps you signed in.

To clear ZyCloud cookies in your browser:

  • Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies → See all site data → search cloud.zyqual.com → Remove.
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies → Manage Data → search cloud.zyqual.com → Remove.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search cloud.zyqual.com → Remove.

Changes

We will update this page when we add or remove a cookie. Material changes are notified in-product.
